Guides
Our team of birding guides, photographers, and naturalists are some of the finest in the country. Among them they have over 200 years of birding experience here in the Klamath Basin, and are known for their professionalism and extensive knowledge of the area.

Land Based Tours
$75 per person.
Conducted from vehicles and on foot.
Four person minimum / eight person maximum.
Times: 7am – 11am

Marsh Boat Tours
$125 per person.
Ride in a special boat designed for penetrating hard to reach areas in the marsh.
Two person minimum / four person maximum.
Times: 7am – 11am

Canoe Tours
$50 per person.
Offers a quiet look at the birds of the marsh. All equipment is provided but paddling is necessary.
Four person minimum / 14 person maximum.
Times: 7am – 11am

Klamath Basin Audubon Society Field Trips
The Society offers field trips throughout the year on various weekends, open to members and non-members alike. They range from half-day outings to birding hot spots to the occasional weekend trips. You do not have to be a birding expert: only one who enjoys the phenomenal natural opportunities that abound.

Driving Tours
Lower Klamath and Tule Lake Refuges both offer auto tour routes. Interpretive exhibits crop up along the way, and a variety of habitats contribute to excellent wildlife viewing.

Photo Blinds
Photographers delight in the Klamath Basin’s varied wildlife and habitats. A few photo blinds are available on Tule Lake and Lower Klamath Refuges by advanced reservation. Here at The Ranch we also have a number of world-class bird photographers available to custom tailor your next experience.

Canoe Trails
Self-guided canoe trails are provided at Tule Lake, Upper Klamath and Klamath Marsh Refuges.

Interpretive Trails
Interpretive trails are located at Tule Lake and Klamath Marsh Refuges. Trailside exhibits provide interpretation of the area’s natural and cultural histories.
