Sprague River

The Sprague River is a beautiful walk-and-wade option. Picture a meadow stream with Brook, Rainbow and Brown trout all ready to be caught on the same day. Lined with amazing rock walls in spots and gorgeous meadows and farmlands in others, the Sprague is a great Southern Oregon fishing option for those who prefer to be out of the boat and in wide-open spaces.
The Sprague River offers very productive dry fly fishing. Your favorite three-weight with a floating line is an ideal matchup. Located about an hour-plus drive from Klamath Falls, Oregon, the Sprague River offers a full day of fishing. Most of the walking is fairly level with no steep climbs or deep descents required. Just remember to mind your shadow! You don't want to spook the fish.
