Suitable for anyone who's willing to try it, snowshoeing amounts to a beautiful outdoor walk. There are miles of great terrain for snowshoeing within Running Y Ranch Resort and snowshoes are available for rent at the Sports Center November through April. Ask us about moonlight snowshoe tours where you can discover the Cascades in quiet beauty, under the bright moonlight. On one of our guided snowshoeing trips, you can expect the following:

Ice Skating

Adults and children alike can enjoy ice skating at The Bill Collier Ice Arena, situated near the entrance to the Running Y Ranch.

Winter is the season to witness the largest concentration of wintering bald eagles in the continental U.S. Up to 780 eagles spend winter in the Klamath Basin, with peak numbers usually seen in February, right around the time The Ranch hosts the annual Winter Wings Festival.
