Christy Mullinix
General Manager

Hometown: Burley, ID

Christy has been a part of the Running Y team for over 15 years and has over 20 years of experience in the accounting industry. She attended Boise State University for Accounting and is also a licensed Real Estate broker. She enjoys working for a company that has stuck together throughout all the changes. Christy is happily married to her husband George and they have a dog named Rex. In her free time, she enjoys running relays and half marathons. Most people don't know that when she received her driver's license her brother nicknamed her Parneli.

Jon Barkee
HOA Manager

Hometown: Klamath Falls, OR

Jon has been with Running Y from the very beginning. He has been a part of the Running Y team for over 20+ years and oversees the Homeowner's Association. Jon has an extensive background including his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor of Science in Finance, he was a Naval Flight Officer for the Navy and Development Coordinator for the construction of Running Y where he first became involved in the resort in 1996. He has enjoyed seeing Running Y grow over the years and under new owners. In his free time, Jon enjoys amateur sports car racing, scuba diving, and running.

Meredith Mackey
Director of Sales and Marketing

Hometown: Placerville, CA

Meredith has been at the resort for 5+ years and comes to Running Y with her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Communication from California State University Long Beach. She is an active member in Klamath Soroptimist and is a Chamber Ambassador for Klamath County. She enjoys working with groups on planning their meetings and events. At a young age, Meredith started working in her family owned pizza parlor where she learned her love for customer service. Her hobbies include painting, snowboarding, camping, and hiking with her black lab Rogue and husky lab Roo.

Greg Morton
Director of Golf

Hometown: Great Falls, MT

Greg comes to us with 25+ years experience and his Bachelors of Science in Horticulture/Turf Science from Montana State University. He has worked for Powder Horn in Sheridan, Wyoming and Manito Golf and Country Club in Spokane, Washington. In his free time, Greg enjoys spending time with his wife Shelley and chasing around his four boys, Miles, Caleb, Tyler and Eli on their athletic endeavors. Most people don't know that Greg qualified for Junior America's Cup, and the Big I Insurance Youth Classic in which Tiger Woods was also a contender. Needless to say, Tigers Wood’s score is better and higher than Greg’s.

George Lusk
Front Office Manager

Hometown: Allen Park, MI

George has a passion for turning an ordinary guest experience into an extraordinary one. She strives to put a smile on each guest's face from the time they arrive until they depart. She joined the Running Y team with over 20 years of experience in Human Resources Management and attended Michigan State University for Hospitality and University of Colorado for Human Resource Management. She has been an active member of the Assistance League for over 10 years and enjoys golfing, reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoys visiting her son in Palm Desert, California and her daughter in Dallas, Texas. George has also danced on stage with Three Dog Night during one of their performances in Aspen, Colorado.

Pam Silcox
Rooms Manager

Hometown: Klamath Falls, OR

Pam has been a part of the Running Y team for over 18 years and has been involved in the housekeeping department since 1999. Pam is a Certified Housekeeping Executive from American Hotel & Motel Association and has her Associates in Business Management. She has been involved in the community with Project Linus and as a Girl Scout Leader for 12 years. She has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 35 years and together they have two children named Mathew and Jennifer. Her hobbies include quilting, decorating cakes, and traveling.

Jaren Mack
Head Golf Professional

Hometown: Ukiah, CA

When Jaren isn't working at the golf course, you can most likely find him house-boating on Lake Shasta, fishing, and wine tasting. Jaren attended the Professional Golfers Career College where he received his Associate's in Business Golf Management. He is married to a beautiful nurse named Jacqueline and together they have a son named JJ and a daughter, Joliette. Jaren enjoys meeting travelers while they are on vacation and helping them create unforgettable memories. He also holds the unofficial course record at Running Y with a score of 61.0.

Tony Westman
Executive Chef

Hometown: Beatty, OR

Tony has been part of the Running Y team for 10 years and has many years of food and beverage experience. Tony has previously worked as a banquet captain and manager, bartender and server. More recently, Tony has worked as a line cook and sous chef for Running Y Ranch Resort before being promoted to Executive Chef. Tony enjoys working somewhere that has such amazing views and nice people. He also highly enjoys playing on Oregon's only Arnold Palmer Golf Course. When Tony is not at work, he can be found golfing, disc golfing, hunting, fishing, playing video games, or spending quality time with his daughter, Galaxy. 

Kari Tofell
Director of Restaurant Services

Hometown: Klamath Falls, OR

Kari has over 10 years of experience in the food and beverage industry. Before becoming Director of Restaurant Services, she had previously worked for Running Y Ranch Resort as a server, bartender, and even banquet manager. She enjoys that her job allows her the opportunity to interact with so many different people as well as be a part of what people experience on their vacations to Running Y Ranch Resort. Kari is actively involved with 4-H and Rotary, and her hobbies include snorkeling, traveling, and spending quality time with her family, friends and pets. Many people don't know that Kari once served a catered lunch to President Clinton.  

Denny Justice
Sous Chef

Hometown: Yreka, CA 

Since he moved to Klamath Falls in 2015, Denny has had the opportunity to gain experience as a line cook at both Lake of the Woods Resort and Running Y Ranch Resort. In 2019, Denny was promoted and began Running Y's new Sous Chef. He enjoys that Running Y promotes a family friendly environment and that everyone on the staff is friendly. When he is not at work, Denny can be found taking a road trip to visit his family or finding a new trail to hike. 

Malissa Cochrane
Director of Sandhill Spa

Hometown: Apple Valley, CA

Malissa joins Running Y with previous experience as an esthetician, nail tech and a Mary Kay consultant. She is a certified esthetician and nail tech and has a certification in natural hair care. She has been happily married to her high school sweetheart for 20+ years. She enjoys spending time with her three kids and two grandchildren. When she is not spending time with her family, Malissa enjoys; motorcycle riding, fishing, hunting, singing and jewelry wire wrapping.

John Lindsay
Grounds Superintendent

Hometown: Paisley, OR

John joined the Running Y team with over 16 years of experience. He has his Bachelor of Science in Horticulture and Business Administration and worked at the Eugene Country Club and Buffalo Peak Golf Course. His certifications include CCB, LCB, Commercial Pesticide Applicator and Certified Backflow Assembly Tester. He and his wife Jessica have been happily married for 16 years and together they have two sons named Coltin and Hunter. John enjoys hunting, fishing, downhill skiing, golfing, and playing basketball and baseball. He and his family spend all of their free time outdoors.

Amber Bennett
Banquet Manager

Hometown: Tyler, TX

Amber came to Running Y with 8 years of experience in the culinary and restaurant management industry. She graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a Bachelor's in Hospitality Administration with a focus in Culinary and Restaurant Management and is a certified ServSafe Manager. Amber moved to Klamath Falls from Texas to enjoy the outdoor lifestyle and natural beauty Oregon has to offer. She enjoys working at Running Y because of the natural beauty of the area and the dedication shown by her coworkers every day. In her spare time, Amber enjoys hiking, fishing, cooking, and spending time with her two dogs. She also has a life goal to visit every National Park in the United States, but so far, she has only been to 6.

Mindy Surber
Sports and Fitness Manager

Hometown: Sonora, CA

Mindy has been a part of the Running Y team for 5+ years and comes with over 20 years of experience. She is group fitness certified and is actively involved in the Mule Deer Foundation, Special Olympics, David R. Kingsley Triathlon, and the Assistance League Christmas Tree Jubilee. Her hobbies include playing pool, horseback riding, gardening and crocheting hats for the homeless. Mindy will always keep you on your toes and even rides a 1990 Springer Soft Tail Harley Davidson.

Kim Abel
Sales Manager

Hometown: Klamath Falls, OR

Kim joins Running Y with a wide variety of experience including her Bachelor of Science in Criminal Law and an emphasis in Forensic Science, an Associates Degree in Accounting and she is an IDS Certified Interior Designer and an Accredited Bridal Consultant Wedding Planner. She recently designed the color scheme for our newly painted lodge and has planned numerous weddings at Running Y. When she is not spending time with her two wonderful kids, she enjoys gardening, working out, traveling, and walking with her Goldendoodle Brody. Some of Kim's travel include Hong Kong and Italy.

Joslyn Lindsey
Marketing Coordinator

Hometown: Klamath Falls, OR

Joslyn comes to Running Y as a recent graduate from Oregon Institute of Technology where she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Management with an emphasis in Marketing. She has worked for Investor Carrot as an intern researching social media practices and their social media presence. She has also worked as the Assistant Director for the Oregon Tech Broadcasting at Oregon Tech where she established the hiring process and managed the social media accounts and communications for the program. Joslyn is also recently married to her husband Alex, and they both spend their free time hanging out with friends and practicing martial arts.

Trever Wilson
First Assistant Golf Professional

Hometown: Cloverdale, CA

Trever Wilson is an accomplished golfer who played on the Lincoln High School varsity golf team and received All-League honors his sophomore, junior and senior years. After high school, he continued to play collegiate golf at Sierra College. After college, Trever turned pro playing in mini-tour events all over Northern California and still competes today. He has worked for Nike Golf, Morton Golf, and Bing Maloney. Trever is known for his calm demeanor and making things simple. He is looking forward to a new chapter at Running Y Ranch Resort and brings his knowledge and love for the game with him.

Lynn Free
Administrative Assistant    

Hometown: Gainesville, GA

Lynn joined Running Y with many years of experience in the customer service field, as well as experience as a receptionist for a dermatology office. Lynn is married to an active duty Airman, and together they have two adult daughters. Being married to an Airman means that Lynn has had the opportunity to live in many different places around the United States, including New Mexico and Hawaii. Lynn loves that everyone at Running Y is so friendly, helpful and works as a team. She says that she has felt welcome here since the moment she stepped through the doors. Many people don't know that Lynn has been researching naturopathy for over 15 years. As a result, she can answer almost any health-related question with the best natural alternative.
