GUIDED TRAIL RIDES

Enjoy the beauty of Klamath Lake on a private guided horseback ride. All experience levels welcome! We offer 1 hour, 1 hour 30 minutes or 2- hour trail rides along the scenic Skillet Handle Trail. All rides include views of Klamath Lake which is known for being home to many native and migrating birds. We often spot Pelicans, Blue Herons, Bald Eagles to name a few!

RIDING LESSONS

We offer ongoing riding lessons to children through adults. Whether you are a beginning rider or advancing your skill set, we tailor lessons to your goals and needs. We are an inter-disciplinary program and teach English and Western Riding, Trail Riding, Groundwork and much more. We strive to create a program that can accommodate students with diverse needs and learning styles, so let us know how we can help.

Pricing
1-hour ride is $95 per person
1-hour 30 minutes is $125 per person
2-hour rides (including Sunset Rides) $150 per person.

Rides are customized to your group, ages 6-adult. Boots and long pants required. Don't have boots? Let us know! We have loaner boots available. Most adult and children's sizes.

Kids Horse Camp

Kids Horse Camp is a summer day camp (see dates below) that teaches safe horsemanship, riding skills and horse care. Campers spend the day learning all things horses! A typical day at horse camp includes, basic horse care such as feeding/watering horses, mucking, bathing, grooming, saddling, trail riding, showmanship with lots of games and crafts, including pony painting, scavenger hunts, horse treat cooking class, and many more! This camp is designed for any level of rider, ages 6-12. $350 per participant/per session.

Pony Pal Juniors

Pony Pal Juniors is a class designed for the littler ones, ages 2-6. Due to safety reasons, at least one parent or guardian must be present during the entirety of the class. This 2 hour class teaches age appropriate horsemanship skills and provides a safe and fun horse experience. For this class, we work with our miniature horses Teddy and Fabio, who are the perfect size for smaller children. Participants will learn safety around horses, grooming, leading the horse (if appropriate) and will have an opportunity to paint and decorate the horse. Included is a scavenger hunt and walk on the trail with our miniature horses! A take home craft and Pony Pal Tee Shirt is included with the class. $75 per child

PONY PALS

Pony Pals is a horsemanship class geared towards kids ages 6-11. This 2 hour class teaches horsemanship from the ground up! Participants learn safe horse handling skills, grooming, saddling, and includes a riding lesson or trail ride. During our Spring-Fall season, participants have the opportunity to paint (yes PAINT!) and bathe their horse or pony as well. A take home craft and Pony Pal tee-shirt is included with the class. $95 per child.

Read and Ride

Read and Ride is a new program for 2023. This program aims to blend horsemanship and literacy, by providing incentives and encouragement for young readers. Structured like a horse-themed book club that meets bi-monthly, each meeting will include small group discussions and lessons in horsemanship, including reading to a favorite horse. Read and Ride is a program designed to inspire, encourage and empower by creating a safe and non-judgmental environment. Participants have an opportunity to engage with literature that interests them, experience hands on (kinesthetic) learning and build compassion and empathy by caring for and connecting with our equine partners. Volunteer Program

Are you interested in learning more about horses and being part of the Jensen Equine team at Running Y Equestrian Program? Consider our volunteer program. Volunteers help with all aspects of our program including daily care of the horses, assisting on trail rides, exercising horses, equipment maintenance and much more! Volunteers will find many opportunities to increase their skill set by learning horsemanship hands on. Volunteers are encouraged to join our lesson program and receive a significant discount (or FREE) lessons or trail rides!
